A pick-up roster built from a deep pool. Players stay with their home teams and come play with us for specific events — St. Louis most weekends, somewhere else about once a month.
One pool, many rosters
Hit Club Black is a pick-up program. Nobody leaves their home team. You commit to events, not to a season, and we build the strongest roster we can for each weekend from whoever is available.
- Commit to events, not to a season.
- Non-profit. No program fee, no dues — just a split share of the tournament entry.
- Rosters are set per tournament, around who fits the need that weekend.
- Playing time is earned. We’re going to better tournaments this year and the roster reflects that.
- Pitching is managed to pitch-count rules. Arms come first, every time.
- No tryout to get in the pool. Get in, come play, we’ll see where it goes.
- Distance is not a problem. Our Memorial Day roster came from six states.

Where we’ve been
Twenty-three events across nine states in our first season — a one-day round robin in Quincy, a five-day World Series at the Lake, a President’s Day weekend in Florida, and a lot in between.

What it costs
Hit Club is a non-profit organization. There is no program fee, no monthly dues, and nobody is making money on this. Your only cost for an event is an equal share of the tournament entry fee — the entry is divided evenly across the roster, typically one-eleventh each.
